Q: Can I keep my home/car?
A: Yes, even if you are behind on the payments. Chapter 13 Bankruptcy consolidates any arrearages into your payment.
Q: How long does it take?
A: 3 to 5 years.
Q: Can I include back child-support?
A: NO. Child support obligations, alimony, student loans and criminal restitution are not dischargable debts. In other words, if you file bankruptcy, you will still be responsible for them.
