Q: What is Chapter 7 Bankruptcy?
A: Chapter 7 Bankrupty is a complete and total discharge of your debt.

Q: How much does it cost?
A: Chapter 7 Bankruptcy runs from $1,050.00 to $1,100.00 for most clients. This includes the filing fee paid to the court, credit counseling fees for classes now required by law, and our attorney fee.

Q: Can I keep my home/car?
A: As long as you are current on your home or vehicle, it is usually not a problem for you to keep these items. However, you must continue to pay for them. You cannot NOT pay for them and keep them.

Q: How long does it take?
A: From time of filing to time of discharge, it takes approximately 6 months.

Q: Can I include back child-support?
A: NO. Child support obligations, alimony, student loans and criminal restitution are not dischargable debts. In other words, if you file bankruptcy, you will still be responsible for them.
